Key Club

Welcome to Key Club

We are glad you are here!

Key Club International is a student-led service organization that provides members with leadership experiences. Students participate in service projects, learn to run meetings, and can run for office at the club, district, and international levels. The values of Key Club are inclusiveness, caring, character building, service, and leadership. Everyone is welcome to join Key Club!

Key Club gets its name from the “Key Students” in the school—the students who tend to get things done. Key Club tends to bring out the best within our students because involvement demands more than ordinary levels of responsibility and commitment as students go out into the community to help those in need. Minnesota State High School League rules, School Code of Conduct and the Key Club Event Code of Conduct govern all activities sponsored by Key Club.

Dues for the year are $15 and no other school activity fee is charged.

Key Club members can earn a varsity letter, qualify for scholarships, and travel with other Key Club members to Key Club District and International events. The cost to participate in these events is not included in the $15 membership fee, and additional fundraising may be required to attend the events.

Club meetings are held every Friday at 7:45 AM in Room A330.

Some projects Key Club members typically participate in are:

  • Feed My Starving Children food packing
  • PIE Nights at area schools
  • Adopt a Family
  • Kiwanis Santa Breakfast in December
  • Kiwanis Silent Auction and Pancake Breakfast in May
  • Key Club Week
  • Teacher Appreciation events
  • Dodge Nature Center Halloween event
  • MLK Day of Service
  • March of Dimes and other walks for charity
