On Tuesday, March 14, Nine ALMAS members visited the state capitol to promote the passing of three anti-tobacco bills to the local senators and representatives. Over 200 students and adults from all over the state were part of the lobbying effort. Rep. Mary Frances Clardy, a former educator and school board member, took ALMAS students on a tour of the House Chambers and also supported all three bills. Senator Matt Klein also met with the students and offered his support for the bills. The three bills deal address the following:

(1) Banning all flavored tobacco products in the state,
(2) Taking away barriers for receiving cessation services, and
(3) Ensuring that a potential future court case settlement between the state of Minnesota vs Juul would in its entirety be used toward prevention and cessation services
